The Text Input Panel is
used by the stylus to enter text into any program that you would normally type
into.
Speech recognition is
built into Windows, and is included on the tablets as part of the text input
panel.
There are also audio
recording programs (such as Audacity) that allow sound files to be easily
manipulated.

write symbols, characters, equations, and diagrams. (Normal laptops only accept
typed text.)

the students. Students can also use rulers and protractors on top of the tablet surface.

Worksheets can be
completed on the tablet and can be submitted electronically or be printed.
The teacher can email an
assignment and/or an answer key for absent students.
Concepts and content can

Notes, diagrams,

made.
Microsoft Word files can
be annotated with “digital ink” for editing purposes.
Multiple pen colors allow
reviewers to indicate various editing elements.

annotated.
